what engine oil is evetyone using?

The place to come to share your technical expertise, or just find out what the little springy thing is that's just pinged out of sight under the work-bench.

Want to know as I've checked steels and frictions and its still slipping top end, I was running castrol non synthetic stuff! Before I stripped it for new wiescos pistons.

I'm currently running semi synthetic, I too had top end clutch slip & have just fitted genuine friction plates which has cured it, the bite point is now much nearer so indicating that the pkates were thin, one plate was in 3 pieces too.
I have heard using mineral oil minimises clutch slip & oil burn?

Make sure it's a bike only dedicated oil for wet clutches

I use rock oil 10/40 the bike loves it an doesnt burn much either no slips or problems at all

Rock oil seems to be the one cheers, no slippage 👍

Just bought 12 litres of mineral 10w40 shell St for 45 pounds as I was told my metal is what they run on
