Homemade exhausts for the RU

Post by dangerousdave »

As some of you are aware I've strapped a turbo to the RU earlier on in the year and I made a short curved pipe which was way to loud on long runs, early morning fire ups to go to work and general pottering around town disturbing the peace, so I thought I'd make a couple more with 2 minute removal that will suit different ride outs ie: long runs and mot days and another for short blasts,

At this angle it was blowing on the swingarm and needed polishing after every ride out so I had to straighten the end can out as you'll see in the next few pics.

As I wasn't overly keen on this one and now just sounding like a normal sports bike with a race can as I put baffling down the full length of the straight section, I decided to make another without the can and only 160 mm of baffle so you can here the rumble of the turbo😄

Also added some clip ons and got rid of the straight street fighter bars, seems loads better throwing into bends now👍
