RU headlamp sub-loom to 1000R loom?

I want to fit a single headlamp onto my 90' 1000R. I don't have my headlamp sub-loom. Will the RU sub loom plug straight in so I can run the clocks and lights / single headlamp? There's one on evilbay at the moment I can't find a 1000R sub-loom for love or money! Can any wise EXUP sage shed some light on the subject? (Please forgive the pun!

I'm only guessing as I've not stripped either type of sub loom but would image that as they both share the exact same components at the front end apart from the extra lamp the looms would be almost identical. it just requires an extra set of wires splicing onto the existing.
As the RU uses a single lamp (55/60W) and the R model 2 at 35W i'd say you'd not be overloading things with the splice.
