SERVO CABLE POSITION

Post by BONLY1 »

Okay, battery is flat (new required) and just connected new exup cables.
Hmmm, in relation to the servo motor body (as mounted on frame) does the 'pull open' cable locate in the top locator as cast on the servo motor body or does it locate in the lower one?
Suppose this means that the motor pulley would rotate to the right when opening?
I THINK it's the top one, but don't wanna bugger it up when I replace with new battery. Done some very stupid things with my bike before that you lot already know about, so gonna ask first on this one

as the valve in the exhaust opens to the right the pulley rotates clockwise

Leave the cables disconnected and rev the bike. See which way the servo pulley rotates and then cable up accordingly.

It may actually show you in the workshop manual too...downloadable from the tech section on the main site
