just bought a Thundercat for the Wife that has 3 months tax left. Does seller have to surrender this on selling the bike like new tax raised from 1st October, or will it be same before???\

dont know for def but from what i've understood ....to date the seller surrender the remaining full months worth of tax and the buyer has to then retax it for a minimum of 6 months

The new laws as of 1st October state that the tax for your vehicle must be surrendered by you the owner before sale of the vehicle, it is the new owners responsibility to tax your new vehicle...
Thats how I read it at .gov...

Cheers Guys.

I know that's how it is for NEW tax as from 1st, but what about a vehicle has has an old (sic) style tax disc?. Not mentioned any where. May have to PHONE DVLA OMG lol
