Blue spot rear calliper on 90 exup

The place to come to share your technical expertise, or just find out what the little springy thing is that's just pinged out of sight under the work-bench.

Blue spot rear calliper on 90 exup

Post by Rockmonster »

Got myself the right calliper hanger I think (FZS1000) but the rear calliper off an R1 has a different size between centres -it's smaller. The explanation on the forum isn't very clear even though the part numbers are stated. The hanger actually looks different in the photos. Can anyone help on this? Is the R1 calliper too small? Thanks

Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

you could always use a R1 hanger
and put a spacer inside the hole where your rear axel slots into the hanger

You could try a XJR1300 caliper or a TRX caliper.

From my research only the later XJR's have a rear blue spot of the two and the cost is quite scary. Not even the yanks have any to sell at the moment! :(

A couple of weeks a go there were a few for sale, including a new one. Just keep looking as sometimes they do come up at a sensible price.
