Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Got to be careful not to give away our ages John :D

They do give you goose bumps though don't they. I remember standing next to Phil Read when he rode for MV. He was warming up a 500- 4 and the noise was vibrating the INSIDE of my chest cavity!!! Absolutely electrifying
I got the same feeling standing next to the starboard outer engine of the Lancaster "Just Jane" when they were running up the engines prior to carrying out taxi runs.

wait until September when they get three Lancasters together and have all twelve Merlin engines running at once. That'll make your boots shake.

I'll give them a ring tomorrow and find out if they'll be getting anymore tickets in the near future. :)

Hands up if anybody interested in going.

My dad would have loved this.

He serviced Dakotas after the war and once took the stick of a Lancaster mid flight.

I gave them a call this morning and was told the tickets came in last Wednesday and were put on line Thursday afternoon and all the 5000 tickets had gone by 12 noon Friday. :crybaby: I asked if there would be any more tickets available in the near future and no was the answer. Sorry lads! :crybaby:

That's a shame. I for one would of loved to be there.
No doubt a few tickets will find their way onto flea bay at some stupid price.
