My FZR is on it's way

Post by Realitybites »

Today my 89 FZR starts it's long slow voyage from North Wales to Philadelphia. Bloody excited to 'almost' have an Exup again!

Yes, I love this colour scheme. My original bike was in this colour so it took me a while to find this bike. I had to just take a chance and buy it unseen but my friend who got it ready for the shippers says it looks new. I'm hoping the innards are as nice. Haven't been this excited about any bike I've owned since selling my original, except maybe my vmax but that was a pig for handling and I wasn't sorry to see it go.

The Exup is in the warehouse, ready to go on the next boat. Man this is torture, the weather is getting warmer.

Caged Animal

I hope they keep it company, and well fed.

Is it safe in that cage? I hope it doesn't fall over during it's epic journey. :crybaby: :crybaby:
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Only time and packaging will tell. I just hope it doesn't hit rough seas

Sailing on the 19th

Post by Realitybites »

Finally, after a long wait the FZR is sailing to Philly on the 19th in the Atlantic Conveyor (No, not the one that got hit by exocets) I'll be able to track it all the way. Can't wait, it's been 24 years since I rode one.

Couldn't wait any longer

With the FZR on a long slow voyage starting on the 19th I decided to go out and get another different type of bike in the interim, a Victory 8-Ball, the price was great but there was much anger from my wife. I have to say though, I love the sound of it. and it handles really nicely, not a quick handler but god the torque! *Recommended*

Really rides nice

Post by Realitybites »

Hah, it actually handles well though obviously not a sports bike, I'll have the FZR for that. Great for the US roads. Two completely different bike styles. AT least I get spring riding before the brutal summer heat.
