nah ill still keep the generator...well initially i will, if i find im only doing short journeys ill blank it off and run total loss...but thats currently not the plan.

its for the weight saving really...as it only weighs 1kg, which is ~20% of the original, and i can mount it in any direction which will be needed to tidy it in the tail properly.
