Wanted FZ600

Post by Kieranzxt »

Looking for an old FZ600 for the girlfriend.

In Yorkshire, but don't mind travelling for a decent working example.

That seems a fair deal!
Not sure if there's many FZ600 still knocking about, they never sold in big numbers at the time.
Best of luck though. :)

you've not yet seen his girlfriend and dont know what condition the bikes in. You'd better hope the bikes a minter or your nads will be missing if you ever meet the girlfriend

Tee Hee! Maybe I should have rephrased the ad a bit better! :unibrow:

The gf is short (5'1"), so Im thinking the FZ should be suitably dinky, being a FZ400 with a XJ600 engine.

Already thought of that.

Problem with 400's is that they produce too much power for the 'medium bike' bike test (max 49hp) but are too small for the 'big' bike test (min 596cc).

you can buy blanking plates that sit either between the carb and the rubbers, or between the carb rubbers and the engine, these will bring the bike down to 49bhp.

Yes heard of those kits, but they have to be 'approved' along with a dyno sheet.

That's plan B, FZ600 is plan A, that way she can do direct access on a 'big' bike.
