Ay up Paul, I'm a sheet metal engineer and yeah I've done a couple of turbo installs before also intercoolers but never done my own so thought it was about time, bit of work below what I've done before in the past..
Those purple connectors look like aircraft pipe connectors, I've got some left over from a mod at work, they're blue (water) the purple ones are for something else
Could put a bend on a face it forward but don't think it would bring it in anymore, when the rad is on it doesn't look too bad, it's a simple change so could opt for smaller one when it's all done if I'm not pleased with it, the filter came with the turbo so just toying with it all at the mo.

They are called Wiggins clips if I remember correctly, about 115 quid each , dear doo.
I've got these 2 'wiggins' clips, they're for pressurised water on a 747 unfortunately they're only the inner sleeves without the clamp, are they of any use to you ?
They're linked/sprung inner halves with an outer sleeve, perfect fit 3" diameter.
Thanks for the offer Chris but without the clips I wouldn't be able to do owt with them and I ain't buying the clips at that price , I'll just stick to welding it, cheers anyway.
