Thunderace/YZF750 project.
Finally got the thunderace engine in the 750 frame last night, let the rebuild commence.
Pass me a spanner, hammer and a cuppa!
Well after 3 week of ignoring the engine in a frame, sat on the floor. I finally decided it's time to make some progress.
I managed to get the frame and engine up onto some forks, refit the swing arm, shock and wheels and make it look like a bike again.
As you can see it's still just a massive jumble of wiring and not even started on the cooling system yet, but having it looking like a bike makes me feel much better about it

I tested the electrics last week and they seem to work, now time for the cooling system. Quite obviously I have a thunderace engine, with a 750 chassis. I plan on using the 750 flat radiator (at least for now) but read that you need to also use the 750 oil filter housing. Looking on a thunderace parts diagram online it says that it uses the same oil filter housing as the 750, can anyone shed any light on this?
Also does anyone have a late model YZF750R top yoke they fancy selling to me? I want to use the thunderace ignition barrel but they're slightly different position to the early ones.
