Ok people at last I've got her back. Putting up some pictures. Don't blame me for the paint job. I've included a close up of the Glenshiel mudguard now fitted for anyone who's considering a newbie. Also I've tried to show the rear hugger I bought off ebay now fitted. Shiney footrest hangers are courtesy of one Mr Creed (very nice too), and I cannot say thankyou enough to Russ junior and Steve at K2 for the job they have completed. The swinger looks great powder coated and all in all it was money well spent. I also had my top yoke powder coated, but didna take any pics. Sorry. Remember thumb nails so click to enlarge.
that front mudguard is a cracking colour match to the rest of the panels in the pics...was that the one with the gel coat that was pictured in another post
Cheers for the comments folks. Yeah Stig thats the muddie from t'other post. Was lucky with colour match. Neo the number plates in the garage, I'd just finished polishing it for pics when it started raining. Put bike in garage and forgot to put plate back when I pushed it out again. Paints going next year if I've still got it. Want to do in blue Belgarda colours. Remember blue ones are faster.
Just jesting mate, seriously though, very nice job all round there and a paticularly nice rear end view. I got a smallish plate on mine and it sets it off a treat. So far I've got away with it,dont think plod is too bothered about it as all the boy racers around here have personalised plates and they leave em alone.
Neo
No worries I'd took it off to get at the crud that always gets behind them. Never really bothered with a smaller plate. Don't know why really coz I've always chopped down my rear mudguards. It was the first thing I did on my Thundercat and that was less than a day old at the time. I thought I'd better give it a good scrub and polish coz it may go in owners bikes. It had stood in the shop for four weeks and I was worried about corrosion.
You mean the tax disc? I took off the helmet holder and banged the tax holder there. Seems as good a place as any. If your on about the front end its the speedo cable. I don't have a lower guide for it, just the rubber one fitted to the inside of the fairing.
Aye I know what you mean. I bought them from Wemoto and the silly buggers sent me 85mm instead of 55mm. I fitted them and then realised. Doh. Couldn't be arsed to take 'em off, anyway gives something to stick bungee cords to.
