Dyno run today

Post by nuggitt »

Took the bike in today for it's Dyno run.

The place was Dynobike in Malton. Roadrunner came along for the ride too. I've never taken a bike to a Dyno before so I was a bit unsure of what mine happen. The staff there certainly know their stuff. Anyway the bike was all bolted down and we had blast off. Paul the operator didn't take her flat out but she's not bad for an old dinosaur.

Photos.

Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Looks healthy. Just what an Exup should make: 125 @ the wheel = 140 @ the crank. Torque curve looks pretty flat too.
Keep on keepin' on.

She's not doing bad for an old un! He did say she's running a bit rich on tickover but it's nothing to worry about. I'm happy with it.

That good looking chap (I'd better say that because he's very sensitive) in the photos and video is roadrunner. I'm behind the camera crammed in a corner taking the video.

Why didnt he take her flat out. Its only for a few seconds and you can see your peak power and fueling then.

Fueling looks good, I would ask him what that little dip is low revs (2 to 4k) and see if it can be put spot on. Might just be a little tweak on the screws or drop the floats a little.

I'm not 100% sure why he didn't take it to the limit. That low dip is, because it's running a bit rich on tickover. He said give it a tweek on the screws. But if you don't want to then don't worry about it. So I'm not! :) I was telling him that one of my pilot air screws has siezed in and I didn't know what it was set at. He's told me to bring the carbs over to him in the winter months and he'll get it out for me. Very decent of him I thought. :D
