Post by dangerousdave »

Been doing a bit more fabrication to one of my mates hayabusa drag bike thats already doing a quarter mile in 7.3 sec, he tells me he needs to cool the air down as we all know the colder the air the more we can ram in and the faser we go , and before you say god damm them badboys look ugly... yes they do but it aint all about looks when your winning races,
So heres a few selected pics i took.
Ill let you all know how much faster it makes it go in spring time.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. You're a Van Gogh of the fabrication and welding world Dave.
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Nice welding Dave.

I can't see that the increase in power from the cooler air will overcome the increase in drag from the wider intercooler.

Those purple couplings look like the Boeing water/waste system ones.

Cheers for the comments lads , yeah I've even said it will probably take off or at least start lifting, but apparently it with cool the air by half and he will be able to turn the boost down to around 15 / 16 as its running well over 20 at over 600 brake the mo, so less strain on the motor , time will tell eh, ill keep you updated when he does a few runs .
