new guy, sad fzr1000.

Post by Ron E »

hello all, just picked up this very sad, but running fzr1000... i plan on making her a standard, upright bars, different tail section and headlamp. nothing to crazy and not an all out streetfighter, just a standard motorcycle like my gs1100's and 1150's i've had before. so far i managed to get the throttle working, bleed the clutch, was out of fluid and had moisture in it. ordered this exhaust http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAC-4-In ... 2a12256703

got it for 189.00 shipped

needs all brake pads and the rear m/c overhauled... basically i have a long list and rebuild ahead of me, but thats what winter is for. should be a fun hooligan bik when she's done.

thanks guys, ordering a dynojet stage 3 jet kit and k&n filters next, no air box. i paid 500.00 for it and have a 1000.00 budget for my winter rebuild... we'll see how far that gets me. i'll post pic's as progress is made.

:welcome: in Ron and good luck with the project.

Make sure you take plenty of before and after pictures while you're doing it.  :D
Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

I agree, welcome to the fun house, and plenty of pics please, just apologise to Stig in advance :D

Nice base to make a start from, nearly all the expensive bits are there.

And mines a pint of Nelsons Revenge please
