My latest project, YZF750.
seem to think the caliper bracket was going to be a pain and the early r6 1 fitted on underneath easier ,if you get blue spot fitted post pic ,would like to see how u did it ,you know wot its like 2 people can look at the same problem and come up with different answers

According to measurements ive been given, the R1 disc is the same diameter as yzf750, the calliper bracket is the same thickness where the spindle goes through, so no need for spacers, the torque arm could fit on the original calliper mounting hole, so unless i`m missing something, it looks a straightforward swap. Unless anyone knows better?
maybe it's just the R6 disc that's smaller- 220mm?
the R1 caliper/bracket i have fit my T/Ace wheel which has a 245mm dia. disc;
it's not a straight swap though, the R1 caliper bracket needs a thicker offside wheel spacer, or a washer between it and the wheel as it fouls the disc bolts.
I may try countersinking the disc bolt holes in the disc and use countersunk screws, but the bracket might still just touch the outer part of the disc when it's torqued up, and the caliper will need shimming out a couple of mm to centre it on the disc.
The R1 bracket doesn't use a torque arm either, so you can either fab a longer arm to fit to the caliper mounting bolt, or bolt some angle ally to the bottom of the s/arm to replicate the R1 fixing.
i've seen a guide on here somewhere, i'll post it up if i can find it.
