I like the projectors side by side...I was never fussed on those alien type ones, the gixer one makes it look like a fazer type bike..

Not keen on the original idea in pic 1.
Not sure about the GSXR bikini fairing. I would have to see it hacked up a bit.
I like the projectors side by side too.
The MT-03 headlight looks good.
Tricky decision mate.
There's no wonder you were rocking to and forth deciding which way to go.

Bit of advice. Buy a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you aren't in one you'll be in the other.

Too many choices aaarrrggghhhh
Will look into the XT headlight and see what else MAY be an option.
Think I'll have to get the clocks mounted properly first then see what space is left for the headlights to flow with....if that makes sense.
After I do the fork seals on the Exup that is.......

Never Ever Bloody Anything Ever!!!
Right then, in fitting the footrests I have discovered that the right hand mounting points are twisted, so they need to be straightened at some stage. ARSE!
In the meantime I've been playing with photoshop to try and resolve the headlight issue!!
See below for many, many, many choices.
Quite like the idea of a bikini fairing like this
so here are the options
low mounted, no clocks fitted (photoshop pasted...lol)
low mounted with clocks
higher mounted, clocks behind screen, hopefully
Or the MT03 route
low mounted
Higher mounted
low with clocks
high with clocks
I think the gixxer route has gone out the window, too bulky.
I like both options above but may have to invest in a small digi dash instead of the GPz clocks.
my only concern is how long the fairing is as I want to keep the front as clean and light (no pun intended) as possible.
Photomash of a similar fairing
The MT03 light fulfills this but they do seem to be the new "chrome dominators"
Whereas the ducati "styled" fairing is still few and far between.
Its a pain not being able to get hold of these to try them out without having to buy them first, hence all the dithering, as I already have a collection of bits to put back on Ebay...
Oh my aching brain................

Right then, small update, not much done today as I've been doing the fork seals on the Exup and using all Stigs bandwidth
FZR 1000 RU fork strip down
Any how, inbetween things I managed to straighten the twisted footrest mounts with a little applied heat and a fair bit of BFAFI.
This is with the bottom mount done up tight, the spacer in my fingers is against the top mount. Its not obvious from this picture but the mounting plate is pushed in towards the back of the bike and twisted out at the top.
Evidence it had been down on its side at some stage.
after a bit of fettling all is well, just waiting on some toepegs to arrive and thats another job done.

Afternoon gents.
Been a while I know, not much new to report apart from the arrival of a last minute impulse buy.
This WILL be the headlight thats going on, Lisa reckons I can no longer comment on how many handbags she has
Not as fat as the gixxer unit
I think it'll fit nicely with the overall shape of the bike once fitted properly.
It should meet my requirments of giving a decent amount of light for night riding, and its something a bit different to the usual streetfighter headlight fitment.
Now that the indecision of what headlight route to go down is over I can get on with things again.
