And don't throw that clutch lever away...you can get some alloy putty that goes as hard as steel...just form a ball bit at the end & file to shape. You don't need a full length clutch lever anway.

well has been a quiet week but have made some progress
i have bought a yzf single seat unit and a fzr 400 brake light
have made most of the fairing brackets and have cut and positioned
the ow01/yzf pannels in place
stripped out the back wheel and the swingarm is in some state so
have ordered a polishing set off the net with 3 soap bars and mops for the drill
am still looking for a lhs pannel am watching one on evilbay that finishes
on friday so if all goes well i'll have the nosecone preped for fibreglassing together
will post some pics in the morning
i have also got my hands on a zx10 shock i've offered it up and it looks ok
will post that mod later in the project
my forks are knackered and need re chromeing so am weighing up my options
so i'm looking into a set of r6 2009 forks to slot strait into the yzf yolks
but need to get some more precise measurements
i'm gonna take my veniers steel ruler and measuring tape down to my local bike shop and take some notes on different front ends

first i had to change the front fairing stay - i have fitted fzr genesis headlights because the exup ones have slightly curved lenses
i cut off the end of the bracket where you would origionaly bolt the yzf
nose cone from the front and then ground off the clock stay and cut a
slit in the stay to reposition the clocks slightly forward and downwards
then i cut off the end of the mirror top stay and have fixed the ends to a straight bar which will be welded back on to the mount on the tank
as you can see the ow01 nose cone falls short of the yzf bellypan
but i'm surprised how both fairings follow almost the same contour
