My Dad took me to buy my first Bike at 16 to look after my interests and make sure my enthusiasm didn't overtake me!
Wish he was still around
My Saturday job at 14 helped pay for my non street cred C50........In the couple of years I had it, it sipped petrol at the rate of 115 miles /gallon, needed a new battery, was topped up a couple of times with oil and had nothing else done and still ran perfectly. It wheelied, ran as a trailie, took me just about everywhere and was virtually indestructible...
Meanwhile, of the lads at work was beavering away and feverishly saving for a Honda Dream 250 Twin. (in the days when "L" plates and 250's were inextricably linked....1976 I think.
Happy days!

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone,
Learn from the mistakes of others.............................
You can't live long enough to make them all yourself
&
Carpe Diem - seize the moment. Don't dream... Do!
