chrisexup's exups
Hello all, here's my fzr1000r
1040 wiseco, tony scott gas flowed head, stage 1 dynojet, K+N filter
quick action throttle, vfr clutch m/cylinder with adjustable lever
zx7-r rad
removed fans, oil cooler, horn, std clocks... i went through a bit of a phase, you know how it is. Extra performance at NO COST! Yay! Do i really need a rear brake fluid reservoir? Naah, bin it, that's saved a few grammes.... what can i say i was young and foolish then, not like i am now (old and foolish before you lot pipe up )
R1 calipers/ master cylinder, stealth discs
Dave Parkinson modded suspension, forks pushed up through yokes
owo1 seat unit on one-off sub-frame, custom rear light/indicators
yzf 750 race fairing (ex team loctite)
crash bungs (used twice so far, brill invention)
gsxr250rr headlight, carbon mirrors, Elliot tacho, SPA speedo
.......it looks shabby but it works just fine, or at least it did before i started cannibalising it for the 400/1000 i'm building. Slowly.
my last 400/1000;
Chris.

Yes, that's the picture Craig scanned for me.
The 400/1000 was quick, but not scary. The heavier motor moved the CoG well forward so the front was always planted (unless otherwise directed by the rider of course )
I never did get the rear suspension 100% though, despite trying different shocks, ride heights, linkages and tie bars.
This time however i've found an engineer who is clued up on suspension and he can fab a new custom linkage, hoorah!
All i need now is the plenty of time and money...
hmmmmmm, i see a flaw in the plan. Wonder when the spring will be back in my flexible friend

if your exup valve`s rattlin, least you know its not seized....
I've got the 3tj frame, and once i've refurbished the exup front end that's going in. The rear has a braced ThunderAce arm in.
i need some spacers/mounts fabbing, can anyone recommend someone that's capable and not too expensive?
I got a bit distracted on the engine front by a cheap low mileage yzf750 engine.
I was going to put my exup top end on it, but i've never tried the 750 so i'm now sourcing running gear for it.
These ebay "bargains" are going to be the ruin of me!
How long now before you come round for a brew? Spring's getting closer

Locally i've seen a purple and yellow r, a red/white ru, and an r with unpainted yzf750 race fairing on, are any of those you Yoda?
Leo, i'm glad you're enjoying the twiddly bits
i was impressed by your positive attitude the other Sunday, i'd have been right , if not
Your timing's worked out about right, too. I've heard it's going to rain for a week, so the roads should be salt free and a bit warmer when you're up and running
