I like those headlights, what are they off of. Also what bar risers and bars are you using there as that looks like just the kind of set up that I need. No idea on the risers. Probably a CRF with fat bars. I took them off a VTR that I scrapped. Headlights came from work. I use them on loads of chop...

Don't know. Never worried about it.
I only tend to balance the wheels when I notice that 70mph vibe.

If its not to bad, you can wack em out with a heavy rubber mallet.
If that doesn't get it make a decent wooden former for the good side and get a bottle jack on it with a bit of heat.

Central Wheel at Coleshill used to have a straightening service but used wheels are possibly cheaper now.

Made a start on the Airbox last night. I thought I'd have it done in a night, but that might have been a bit enthusiastic. Made loads silly mistakes trying to work with what leftovers from the Turbo bike were lying around. Should have just bought the right stuff. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/x...

I've always left them on the motor. You just have to have the clamps in the right position. Swap the screws for Allens too. The heads are always chewed up by monkeys using cheap screw drivers at this age.

Had another prod at this last night. Fitted a set of USD's with new Bearings and a set of Headers that do away with the EXUP, also spent a good few hours wiring it up. I used mostly VTR components again because I've got tonnes of that stuff which made it was easy to fit in the undertray and the butc...

Need enough to do 100 mile commute every Monday morning. My Chop only does 80ish so 150 would be awesome.

Cheese_butty wrote:Excellent. Would that have actually fit on a VTR?
It came off a VTR1000 but there is no way it would fit back on one now unless you removed the rear Cylinder.
By the time I'm finished making a new airbox, it'll hold more fuel then the original Exup Tank.

The VTR Tank is notoriously small so I added a belly like the Exup. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/923/Riipnl.jpg https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/924/aWbHbi.jpg https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/924/UQjWOE.jpg https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/923/74aso1.jpg https://imag...

The rest of the parts came off a dead Fazer that I had in storage, or from raiding forgotten boxes of VTR parts in the loft.

Yeah, 89ish. I had a 91 RU about 10 years ago and built a Tigcraft special for my ex boss, so I know them a little. I've been messing with it in between other builds for about 8 months or so, just putting odd evenings in on it. I've added a thread to the workshop section. Hoping to have a final run ...

Newby - 1000 Exup project

Got given this Exup a couple of years ago from a house clearance.
Had it in storage for ages then pulled it out last year for a closer look.
I'll put some more info in the workshop section if this image link works.
