Had a close look at the top rings under magnifying glass and no visible marks. Looking at the cross section of the top ring in workshop manual it looks symmetrical so phoned Yamaha flintwicks and they said if no visible marks it does not matter which way round it goes so will have to go with that. Hi guys I have an 91 RU exup bike with an 89 exup engine I am rebuilding, can anyone tell me if they have fitted the 91 oil cooler to the 89 engine and did away with the separate oil cooler, if so what would I have to do.
