Sorry to butt in....but could an incorrectly set exup valve also cause a flat spot mid range...ie 6 - 8000 rpm....

Hi again, Well my new exup cables have worked a treat, i needed to make a few wee adjustments after an initial run and alls good...well nearly.... new wee issue and cant find any help in the Haynes..... I've got a wee flat spot about 6 - 7500rpm in all gear, runs nice and smooth up to 6000, then fal...

Thankfully the plod that patrol the Green Welly area and the surrounding areas only seem to be bothered about speeding in the villages along the way, that i totally agree with that, 30 is 30 no matter what your driving.......once you hit Callander the roads are awesome all the way to John O Groats, ...

weather permitting, tomorrow going to change the fuel filter, drain tank and put fresh stuff in, check plugs and leads and check fuel pump running ok. Cheers guys,

Spoke to a garage and they said different symptoms for the exup valve, but ill get it checked out as well, suppose plugs, ht leads and fuel filter are easy cheap starting points...

Went to Mickey Oates as my mate takes his bike there, excellent service as well. I got handed 40p for the coffee machine by the guy at the desk as I was freezing....There are a few bike places around Stonehouse but not too great reveiws so MO it is...
