Hi Stig, yes I went through all the normal checks, valve and cables free. The servo recentres when the ignition is switched on. I've come to the conclusion that it's a fault in the CDI unit as that controls the servo. I might try to borrow one to confirm my suspicions. The weird thing is that the sy...

Exup valve not cycling.

Hi all, I haven't been on here for quite some time, long story but I'm determined to get my FZR1000RU back on the road next summer. I'm in the process of 'recommissioning' the bike and have noticed that the exup valve no longer cycles through when the ingition is turned on. The valve appears to work...

I lived in Stoke on Trent years ago, well someone has to, and worked in Heywood north of Manchester. I was working for a big company to get my foot in the door as a sound engineer. Combination of not wanting to be on the dole in Stoke and wanting a better job in the field which I worked. The journey...

Thanks guys, you're right the FJ discount is with fzr1ooo.co.uk. I'll give those suggestions a try too. My big problem is that I don't have any NCD as I've been a named rider on other people's policies for the last few years. I noticed that I wasn't even offered TPFF by any of the companies so far.

Nice job Yampug. When you say the exup bolts are a bit on the hard side is that when you try to drill them out? I'm going to strip my exup valve soon and I'm pretty sure the bolts are going to shear off. We've got a pretty substantial pillar drill so hopefully they won't be too difficult to drill an...

Thanks Yamaexup, I can't remember who did it but I read about a member turning himself up a Dural piston for the slave cylinder which I will do as soon as I can blag some time on a lathe. I'll change the seals at the same time. It's funny but I was only thinking about an adjustable clutch lever the ...

Thanks guys that's brilliant, just around the corner from us too. I'll get in touch with him when he gets back. Handy to have a paint guy so close and we're happy to put our stuff his way. Looks really good nuggitt.

YZFR125

This is a bit of a long shot but we've had an enquiry about repairing some scuffs on a YZFR125 fairing panel. We specialise in mechanical work normally so aesthetics like this are not generally our thing. Any ideas guys as times are lean and we don't want to turn down any work which might lead onto ...

Just wanted to wish you the best of luck Chris. I've not been through the same sort of thing but kind of have a lot of experience of serious life upheavals over the last 10 years or so and still trying to fight my way out so I think I can perhaps empathise a little.

Hope all goes well, Sophie.
