Does anyone know if the YZF Thunderace frame is the same as the FZR frame? I was thinking of matching the rear seat unit to the FZR including the panels so hence my question.

No it is a black wire on a block connector, it comes out of the main loom at the battery box to a connector and then there is about 9 inches at the other side of the connector.

Hi all, just putting the back of the bike together and this wire pictured
has come off. Should it be connected to the battery negative lead? May be someone might know.

Cheers Stig for prompt and concise reply, its just what i wanted to know. I will do as you did and do the factory pro mod as well on a spare so if any thing should go wrong at least the bike will still be going.

How do, is the clutch setup the same from 1989 to 1995? on the EXUP, were there any improvements made to the clutch plates on the later models regarding the small plate and spring on the 1990 R models?
