hi all, I'm back!!

After a year and a few months of moving out, moving in, moving out, moving in and refurbishing I have finally decided it's time to pick this project back up.

I have got a TPS from ebay and will be fitting it to the bike soon, how do I adjust them and know they are correct?

I got everything connected up but no start up :( I can smell the fuel so there's fuel getting through the system, I'll start all the usual other checks this weekend. I did notice however that the rev counter is flicking up to 3000rpm indicating a fault with the throttle position sensor (TPS). Does a...

If it leaks I'll get a washer for it.

I suppose it could be that, or even just an overflow hose, I can't remember where the hoses go though :(

Thanks for getting back so quickly though

Bit of an update, and some questions for you clever chaps.

I got the cooling system cobbled together, and the electrics are laid in place all ready for trying to fire the bike up. I would have tried it last night but realised that Yamaha switched from a single pump/level sensor to separate items on the thunderace and I didn't have my soldering gear to modif...

I tested the electrics last week and they seem to work, now time for the cooling system. Quite obviously I have a thunderace engine, with a 750 chassis. I plan on using the 750 flat radiator (at least for now) but read that you need to also use the 750 oil filter housing. Looking on a thunderace par...

Well after 3 week of ignoring the engine in a frame, sat on the floor. I finally decided it's time to make some progress. I managed to get the frame and engine up onto some forks, refit the swing arm, shock and wheels and make it look like a bike again. http://i599.photobucket.com/albums/tt76/waynef...

I've been busy all week making an adaptor bracket for the aprilia, but the carbs are on the engine, the coils are temporarily in (until I swap them for stick coils to free up some space under the airbox.

Don't worry, these will come. But at the minute it's an engine in a frame on the floor :)

Here are my engine mounts modified (I didn't do it, but thanks to GIA Engineering in nottingham)
