by all acounts the r1 and fzr ride simliar except the seat height ive riden a r1 from mine to devils bridge with my mate on my ace i found it uncomfortable and a bit flighty couldnt wait to get back on my own bike he thought my thunderace was a bit heavier but not as much as it really is also though...

only joking i think the r1 is the nicest looking bike on the planet but dont like them to ride

still prefer the ace

it will still be faster than them fzr museum pieces you lot ride

funny thing ive got 1 as well

the cables are well oiled it drops its revs to 2 thou quickly but takes about 10-15 seconds to drop to 1 thou

ive got an 05 r1 arse end i was going to graft onto my thunderace complete with new seatpad new single seat conversion indicators in the tail lamp that could be for sale
