That was a thought of mine as well. There is no better reason to strip and magnaflux the cases than this one.
Theres no bargain way of getting around this, either do it right or do it twice.
This isnt a job for calipers, calipers are reference only tools. You need a micrometer/telescoping gauges or bore gauges, to check for out of round/dimensional tolerance after the cases have been magnafluxed. |
