That was a thought of mine as well. There is no better reason to strip and magnaflux the cases than this one.
Theres no bargain way of getting around this, either do it right or do it twice.
This isnt a job for calipers, calipers are reference only tools. You need a micrometer/telescoping gauges or bore gauges, to check for out of round/dimensional tolerance after the cases have been magnafluxed. |
Hmmm. A blueprinted Exup mill. That could be serious fun. |
Blueprinting comes after he knows the cases didnt get damaged by a wandering chain. What really need to be addressed is why the chain broke.
