Stig's Bike Stand

This should be an easy home make project for all to do, and it's an invaluable tool when working on the bike.

You'll need to shop for the following items:

5/8" nuts to suit threaded bar

14" 1 5/8"X1 5/8" ext box

stand steady

6" 1 5/8" X 1 5/8" ext bar

stand steady

50 x 50mm 1/8" plate

leg tops

45 X 45mm 1/8" plate

1

internal handle guide/stop

35mm 35 dia solid bar

adapter sockets/receivers

a bit of spare plate to make a fillet for the fixed receiver/socket arm


Then it's up to you. You can either buy the sockets specific to your model or make your own. If you make your own you will need in the case of the 'R' model:
