Lock down at home until further notice.
No shops except for food, chemists and undertakers.
No gatherings of more than two people.
One pass out per day for exercise.

Clocks go forward next Sunday. Sunny evenings. WTF are we going to do?

I was going to tax the bike April 1st but that plan has gone out of the window. Iíve been doing a few jobs on the bike today. I can potter about in the garden, dog walking for exercise. We have two daughters who are trying to shop/foraging for food for us. its certainly put a stop to our bike ride outs till it buggers off. cry baby cry baby

Spoke to the police today. I was told they don't have a problem if you are out on your own and no symptoms. There were quite a few people out on pushbikes in my area. I wish my bike was ready and fuelled, I would be out on it, but not visiting. Please don't think I don't care, I am observing the rules. Got it from the horses mouth. I must look well suspicious nowadays because they did a person check on me ( it came back ok by the way ). Take care all.

I keep saying to myself shall I tax the bike next week just so I could go out for a short tide. Like you I wonít call at any biker cafes etc or go visiting anybody Iíll not even call at a garage to fill up. I get an eerie feeling that if I do go out, will I get the finger pointed at me for not thinking of others? paranoid paranoid frown

John, just tax the bike. It's peanuts.
My car tax is £49.87 per month!! At 19.8mpg I'm on intravenous V-power.
You have to pay to play.
When you fill up use pay at pump and wear 2 pairs of garage plastic gloves from start to finish. Then bin them but swipe a few for unforeseen circumstances.

That was my way of thinking by using the pay at pump method plus the gloves.

Itís not the tax money thatís stopping me. I canít make mind up to go out playing. I donít want to be classed as a selfish sod by not abiding by the rules and so on. ☹️

I'm going to SORN the Exup & my car as I pay monthly for both. There's no point in me paying for VED if i'm not going to ride/drive these vehicles. The Mrs has got a car that I can drive as & when needs be. This'll give me the excuse that I need to do the wiring changes i've been meaning to do for a while now, as in fitting relays for the headlights. I also want to check the valve clearances, lube the headraces & swing arm bearings, all work i've been delaying for ages.

I've persuaded the powers that be that I need to take the cars, specially the AMG, out once or twice a week to keep the batteries charged and all in order.
Never know when you'll need a (very) fast car at short notice.

Meanwhile I'm rediscovering some outstanding music. Just now George Thorogood on stage with John Lee Hooker and Albert Collins.

Gonna sorn mine again. rolls eyes
It was sorned for Winter but taxed from 1st March.
Been out on it twice and then lockdown came. cry baby
Don't wanna take chance of puncture, breakdown or smidsy / own fault scenario where I need to involve other peeps, 'specially not ambo/paramedics/NHS who are needed elsewhere.
We need to get through this together, but unfortunately some won't.
Best wishes to all.
STAY AT HOME.

Big update part 1
Insured bike today in anticipation of using it this year (fingers crossed)
Once lockdown is out the way Iíll take it for MOT if it starts ok. (Thatíll be part2)

On other matters, with this time to spare the Twincam is now making good progress. Gunna clean up and paint rear axle ready to reinstall after the weekend. I can then do a few small bits to get it fired up and back on its wheels after 4 years cool
