im fairly sure the late 94 /95 forks were the same as yzf750 forks
as for bushes and stations there widely available on ebay if im right

its all genesis except from the barrel/head ect
so its using genny carbs/cdi ect

ive been using Castrol power 1 which seems pretty good, also used Halfords own brand in the past ,usually wait till they have got a sale on and buy a few, never had any problems with it

its most likely they just replaced the exhaust and left the valve and cables disconnected so check to see if there still there

youll be fine taking off the top toke
